1. Scope and Provider

These terms of use apply to the web application "Finde deinen Sinn" at finde-deinen-sinn.de. The provider is Karl J. By creating an account you accept these terms.

2. Service, Free of Charge and Availability

"Finde deinen Sinn" is provided to you free of charge. There are no paid features and no advertising.

There is no claim to any particular availability. Maintenance, technical faults or changes to the range of features are possible at any time.

We may discontinue the service. In that case we will inform you in advance by e-mail and give you sufficient opportunity to export your data (JSON and PDF export in the settings).

3. Account and Minimum Age

To use the service you need an account with a valid e-mail address. You must be at least 16 years old. One account per person is permitted. Keep your credentials safe and do not pass them on; the details you provide must be accurate.

4. Your Content and Invitations

The rights to the content you enter remain with you. We use it solely to provide the service to you — not for advertising and not for training AI models.

You only invite people you know personally and who may reasonably expect such a message from you. Sending invitations is not a marketing tool: exactly one e-mail is sent per invitation.

Unlawful, insulting or harassing content is not permitted, nor is inviting third-party, purchased or automatically harvested addresses. In case of abuse we may block invitations and suspend your account.

If you breach these rules and third parties take action against us as a result, you indemnify us against the resulting claims and reasonable legal costs.

5. AI Coach

The replies of the AI coach are generated automatically. They may be incomplete, outdated or factually wrong and do not constitute advice. Always check important decisions yourself and do not rely on the coach's output alone.

6. No Advice, No Crisis Service

"Finde deinen Sinn" is a tool for self-reflection — not a medical device, not psychotherapy, not psychological, medical, legal or financial advice and not a crisis service.

7. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, as well as for injury to life, body or health and in cases of mandatory statutory liability.

In the case of ordinary negligence we are liable only for the breach of essential contractual obligations — those obligations whose fulfilment makes proper use possible in the first place and on whose observance you regularly rely. In such cases liability is limited to the damage typically foreseeable at the time the contract was concluded.

Any further liability is excluded; this also follows from the fact that the service is provided free of charge.

For the loss of data we are liable only to the extent that the loss would also have occurred had you backed up your data properly and regularly. Please use the JSON and PDF export in the settings for this.

8. Termination

You can delete your account yourself at any time and without giving reasons in the settings; these terms then end. All associated data is deleted in the process.

We may suspend or delete your account if you breach these terms seriously or repeatedly. We will notify you beforehand as far as this is possible and reasonable.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may change these terms of use, for example when features or the legal situation change. We will inform you by e-mail at least 14 days before the changes take effect. If you continue to use the service after that, the amended terms are deemed accepted; otherwise you can delete your account.

10. Governing Law and Place of Jurisdiction

Austrian law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country in which you have your habitual residence remain unaffected.

As a consumer you may sue us at your place of residence and will only be sued there.

We do not take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board; we are neither obliged nor willing to do so.
